Who is this course suitable for? This training is suitable for Physiotherapists and allied health practitioners to incorporate into therapeutic treatment programs with individuals and groups. You do not need to be a registered yoga teacher. Experience of yoga is recommended.
What will the training cover?
Yoga for common musculoskeletal conditions.
Experiential physioyoga practical classes and workshops based on hatha Yoga themes with clinical reasoning. Yoga and myofascial meridians. Explore posture variations and the use of yoga props for back pain, arthritis, neck, shoulder, thoracic and balance (Gentle and restorative level with progressions)
Restorative Yoga Nidra Relaxation and Meditation Certification. Theory and daily training. This involves deep progressive relaxation with application for stress, anxiety and trauma recovery.
Introduction to Yoga for mental health;
- stress, anxiety, depression
- Trauma informed yoga practice.
- Mindfulness, meditation techniques and breathing exercises.
- A comprehensive manual including evidence base.
Instruction includes practical classes, lectures and group work.
